As usual, life is busy! Here is a run-down on what we're working on and how you can be praying for us.
PACKING, PACKING, AND PACKING SOME MORE!
As you might remember from our last update, in the middle of August we started working on finalizing our shipping lists, packing our supplies, and getting them to the company who will ship them over to PNG.
Today, all of our boxes were delivered to the shipping company! Woo-hoo!

A HUGE THANK YOU to all of you who supported us by buying some of the items on our Amazon needs list! Over half of our list was purchased by all of you!

The 3rd week of September, we transported everything to our church and knocked out all of the final packing (including making a manifest, which is a list of every item in every box, with its price, quantity, and size).

FINANCIAL SUPPORT UPDATE
Now that packing is finished and the boxes are shipped off, we are re-focusing in on support raising! We are so thankful to report that we have passed the 75% mark, which means we can officially plan to leave for PNG in January!
Although it's exciting to reach this goal, we are still praying for God to allow us to reach 100% by the middle of November. That means we still need right around $1750 more in monthly pledged support.
To all of you who are already faithfully supporting us with pledged monthly or annual gifts, thank you so much! Thank you for jumping on board ahead of time so that we could have the funds to purchase and ship our supplies that we just finished packing! We know you are really giving to God and not to us, but we are humbled to be stewards of your gifts!
HOW TO PRAY
Here are a couple of ways you can be praying for us in the next month.
1. Monthly Support Raising completed: We are trusting God in faith to bring in our needed support before we leave in January! It would be a huge blessing to see it come in by the middle of November, so that our final month can be focused on saying goodbye and spending time with our family and friends.
2. One-Time Expense Support completed: During the next year, there will be a lot of one-time expenses (visas, plane tickets, house building materials and transportation, helicopter rides for surveys, etc.). We don't talk about our one-time expense fund as often because we have been building it up slowly through the one-time gifts we receive as we've been raising support, but we wanted to mention that we still need a little over $20,000 to cover those costs for next year. Thanks for praying for one-time gifts to cover that need!
3. Rest and Balance: It's been a month of lots of physical labor, emotional highs and lows, and some additional stresses in several areas of life. Please pray for us to find and take times individually and together as a couple to rest, catch up, and be refreshed in Christ! And pray that we maintain balance between the different areas that are calling out for our attention as we get closer to leaving.
